- More Divisions! More Trophies! More Cash!
- As most of you know, we will start on time, so please arrive early.
- In all children divisions, height may determine the proper age group in which a person competes.
- You may enter one of each: Kata, Kumite, and Weapons.
- All Divisions–two points for kicks, one point for hand techniques. NO FACE CONTACT ALLOWED!
- Dipped foam Head, Hand and Foot protectors and mouth guards are mandatory in all divisions.
- Shin guards are recommended for everyone. Groin protectors are mandatory in all male divisions.
- $100.00 Cash awarded to every school with 20 or more registered competitors.
- SCHOOL BANNERS ARE WELCOME
- The Petersburg Karate Open is rated by the Virginia Karate Alliance, an organization that rates both Black Belts and Under Black Belts. At the tournament there will be information on what you need to do to become a rated Virginia State Champion.
